Introducing: India International Music Week & India Music Exchange
In 2023 EMEE embarked upon an international mission to India, and we are delighted to see the announcement of the new export focused organisation India Music Exchange and international showcase India International Music Week announced this week, inspired by our activities!
Announced at ESNS, on EMEE’s ‘Are You Export Ready for India?’ panel, IIMW ‘25, is to be held in Goa, India in February 2025 is a first-of-its-kind event in South Asia and is scheduled to be a 5-day global music trade conference and showcase festival. This unprecedented event promises to be a global gathering of like-minded artists, event promoters, labels, industry trailblazers, and music enthusiasts. IIMW is committed to a pioneering spirit of encouraging and facilitating international trade to shape how the world interacts with the Indian music industry while defining the position & journey of international artists and music in India and the Indian Sub-continent.
With a focus on emerging artists and talent, the showcase festival will see live performances across multiple stages by diverse artists from around the world and India. The conference will witness insightful panel discussions on market trends, workshops, artists residencies, mixers, dinners, pitch sessions, music production residencies and regional tours for participating professionals, artists and members.
With this inaugural announcement, IIMW also establishes a partnership with ‘ESNS Exchange’ which is ESNS’s global festival partnership program.
‘India Music Exchange’ (IMX) is an industry-led organisation brought together by key stakeholder representatives of performers, labels, publishers, venues, CMOs, and professionals in the Indian music industry.
IMX aims to create and optimise opportunities for exchange that increase Indian artists’ presence and India’s music footprint internationally while making the Indian music market accessible to the world.
