At the end of 2014, a shining new talent emerged from the Belgian house community and sent sizeable waves through both the genre and the music charts of Europe.

Felix De Laet, better known as Lost Frequencies, released the global smash hit "Are You With Me" back in August 2014 and quickly cemented himself as a name to watch, the track rapidly reaching #1 on British, Australian, German, Austrian, Irish and Swiss music charts simultaneously.

Kygo – Stole The Show

Norway

Norwegian artist Kygo found early success via SoundCloud, releasing a number of remixes and gathering millions of streams before going on to release his debut album "Cloud 9" in 2016.

Kygo has collaborated with the likes of Ellie Goulding, John Legend and many more throughout his career, and finds himself in the top 10 most streamed artists in the world on Spotify.

Stromae – Formidable

Belgium Wallonia

Stromae is a Belgian musician, singer, rapper and songwriter. He came to wide public attention in 2009 with his song "Alors on danse", which became a number one in several European countries.

In 2013, his second album "Racine Carrée" was a commercial success, selling 2 million copies in France alone and nearly 600,000 units elsewhere. He has sold over 8.5 million records worldwide.

Bastian Baker – Five Fingers

Switzerland

One of the most convincing and successful musical exports from Switzerland over the last few years has been the young singer/songwriter Bastian Baker from Lausanne.

He has already been duly rewarded with 2 platinum albums, 7 Swiss Music Awards, a World Music Award, and has been internationally recognized by performing as opening acts for Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, Johnny Hallyday. He was also invited to participate as a coach for The Voice Belgium.

Christine & The Queens – Christine

France

Blending intellectual electronica with a poised chanson style, Christine and The Queens uses subtle synths and delicate beats to create emotive, introspective pop.

Since releasing her debut album "Chaleur Humaine" ("Christine and the Queens" for its international release), she has been on an immensely successful international tour, gracing the covers of Time magazine and NME and picking up two French Victoires music awards along the way.

Martin Garrix – In The Name of Love

Martin Garrix kicked off his career in a high-profile way, first landing on the dance charts with his 2012 remix of Christina Aguilera's "Your Body." Born Martijn Garritsen, the then-16-year-old DJ spent 2012 remixing Aguilera, signing with Spinnin' Records, and releasing the "BFAM" single in collaboration with Julian Jordan.

In 2013 he released his solo single "Animals," which hit #1 in the U.K. and reached the Top Ten in eight other countries.

James Hersey – Miss you

Austria

James Hersey is a multi-talented singer-songwriter from Vienna, who writes his own lyrics, plays multiple instruments, produces his own albums and even directs his own videos.

He delivers hook-driven indie pop confections with electro-pop ambitions. His hit “Miss You” reached more than 75 million streams on Spotify, hit #1 on the US Billboard Dance Club charts and received gold status in Italy.

Estonia

NOËP is an electronic-pop act from Tallinn, who is signed to Sony Sweden.

The Estonian newcomer aka singer-producer Andres Kõpper, has already created quite a buzz around both his home country and on an international scale.

Carnival Youth is one of the most successful indie bands not only from Latvia, but also the Baltic region. Over time they've released two albums and both of which have been critically acclaimed and rewarded both in their home and abroad. They also received the European Border Breakers Award in 2016.

Talos – Your Love is an Island

Talos is Eoin French, from Cork in Ireland. He makes patient, plaintive electronic pop music. He arrived in late 2014, with the mesmerising "Tethered Bones", the dreamy production proved a perfect platform for French’s powerful voice and rewarding words. His new album "Wild Alee" has been very well received.

Margaret – What You Do

With her courageous musical taste and fashionable attitude, Margaret first caught the public’s attention in 2013 with her single “Thank You Very Much”, and quickly became a Polish pop sensation.

She charted in several European countries, including Germany and Italy. In late February 2016, Margaret released the single “Cool Me Down” which is her biggest hit so far. Spring 2017 brings her new single “What to do”!

The Gift – Big Fish

Lukas Graham – 7 Years

Denmark

Danish band Lukas Graham stormed to success in 2015, when their single "7 Years" began receiving global attention.

With more than 650 million streams of that song on Spotify alone, the band have now released their "Blue Album" worldwide and are among the 200 most streamed artists in the world.

Tungevaag & Raaban – Beast (feat. Isac Elliot)

Finland

Teen sensation Isac Elliot has enjoyed extensive success throughout the Nordic region during his career so far, with his debut album "Wake Up World" reaching platinum status in his native Finland.

In 2016, he teamed up with Norwegian/Swedish production outfit Tungevaag & Raaban to release "Beast" a song which enjoyed success throughout Europe and has to date amassed more than 30 million streams.

Of Monsters & Men – Crystals

Iceland

Icelanders of Monsters & Men launched their debut album "My Head Is An Animal" in 2012, led by the success of their single "Little Talks", which to date has been streamed more than a quarter of a billion times.

Sold out US tours followed, and the outfit returned in 2015 to release their second acclaimed record, "Beneath The Skin".

Swedish sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg are preparing to release their fourth studio album in 2017, having received worldwide acclaim for their previous releases, especially 2012's platinum selling "The Lion's Roar".

United Kingdom

A veteran of the U.K. grime scene, MC, producer, and record-label owner Skepta was influential in its shift from the underground to the pop charts, as well as its creative and commercial resurgence.

De Läb – De Stolze Bauer (feat. Yves Schmartz)

Luxembourg

De Läb is a Luxembourgish hip-hop collective, founded in 2006 by three young fellows from the Minett in the south of Luxembourg. Their lyrics are essentially synthesized in Luxembourgish and represent a blend of "New School" with the mentality from back in the days, always fresh, with a healthy sense of humor and never without a hint of irony.

"De Läb" has become an important part of the luxembourgish music-scene and is constantly surprising their audience.

Txarango – Una lluna a l’aigua

Txarango’s story has been one of success around Europe since the creation of the band in 2010. Its music has reggae at its core, combined with dub, Latin and pop sounds that reinforce the social and political engagement of its lyrics. In 2017 they publish their latest recording.

Mydy Rabycad – Blind

Czech Republic

Founded in 2012, Mydy Rabycad combines acoustic instruments with the powerful sound of electronic mixes and beats and jazzy vocals. The group has released two albums and performed over 300 concerts, including sets at Glastonbury, the Fusion Festival, Eurosonic and Jazz in Seoul.

The Czech group will be embarking on its first tour of US & Canada this summer, with shows planned across Europe as well.

Katerine Duska – Fire Away

Katerine Duska is a Greek-Canadian singer/songwriter currently residing in Athens. Her own musical style has been described as indie-pop meets neo-soul, due to her trademark soulful rasp.

Baustelle – La Guerra è Finita

Formed in the mid-'90s in the Tuscan town of Montepulciano, Baustelle have shaped a new kind of Italian pop music: one that is inspired by the orchestral scores of Morricone, but with a distinct influence of British bands such as Pulp and Divine Comedy.

Their music is characterized by a refined attention to lyrics and arrangements.

Petar Dundov – Brownian Interplay

Croatia

Petar Dundov is one of the most successful Croatian artists and producers who played all over the world. Although maybe the word “techno” doesn’t give enough detail about his style, it’s probably the nearest ballpark to whose principles his music adheres.

But it’s that sense of his tracks being alive, which gives his music its unique sound and has seen his work crossover into a myriad of different areas of the global electronic music scene.

Monsieur Doumani – Gongs

Nominated for 'Best Group' at Songlines Music Awards 2016, Monsieur Doumani was formed in 2011 in Nicosia by Antonis Antoniou (tzouras), Angelos Ionas (guitar) and Demetris Yiasemides (wind instruments).

They focus on rearranging Cypriot traditional songs adding their own particular color to the sound and feeling of the songs, while also composing their own songs in the Cypriot dialect.
