EMEE Joins Campaign to call for music to have a strong, dedicated place in #AgoraEU
Together with 23 organisations from across Europe’s music ecosystem, EMEE joins a joint call urging EU institutions to ensure a strong budget and an ambitious sector-specific approach for music within the future AgoraEU programme.
While we welcome the proposed increase in the programme’s budget, the current AgoraEU proposal fails to include dedicated measures for music, despite the sector facing major challenges related to cross-border mobility, access to sustainable funding, skills development, and the long-term structuring of a resilient European music ecosystem.
We believe a sector-specific approach is essential to strengthen the competitiveness, diversity and sustainability of European music.
