EMEE International Mission to Mexico

EMEE are embarking upon an International Networking Mission to Mexico in order to connect with professionals from across the music sector in Mexico and bring together the European and Mexican music markets. With 20 delegates representing the music export organisations from 16 countries, the mission aims to give the participants a better understanding of the general ecosystem and specific sectors of the Mexican music industry, while developing new contacts and building meaningful relationships to support future export opportunities.

To support this mission EMEE has produced resources including the two following reports:

• Electronic Music in Mexico by Michaël Spanu (2023) – An in-depth look at the electronic music scene in Mexico, which aims to assist European artists and companies in planning their export strategies specifically targeted at Mexico and its electronic music scene.
• Mexican music industry Market report by Margaux Demeersseman and Franz Hergovich – This 2022 report gives a more generalised overview of how the music market and the music ecosystem works in Mexico.
